Joshua 5:7-9
Legacy Standard Bible
7 And their sons whom He raised up in their place, Joshua [a]circumcised; for they were uncircumcised because they had not circumcised them along the way.
8 Now it happened that when they had completed circumcising all the nation, they remained in their places in the camp until they were [b]healed. 9 Then Yahweh said to Joshua, “Today I have rolled away (A)the reproach of Egypt from you.” So the name of that place is called [c]Gilgal to this day.

Joshua 5:7-9
New International Version
7 So he raised up their sons in their place, and these were the ones Joshua circumcised. They were still uncircumcised because they had not been circumcised on the way. 8 And after the whole nation had been circumcised, they remained where they were in camp until they were healed.(A)
9 Then the Lord said to Joshua, “Today I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you.” So the place has been called Gilgal[a](B) to this day.
Footnotes
- Joshua 5:9 Gilgal sounds like the Hebrew for roll.
