GOD’S WORD Translation
30 He was buried on his own land at Timnath Serah in the mountains of Ephraim north of Mount Gaash.
31 Israel served the Lord as long as Joshua and the older leaders, who outlived him and who knew everything the Lord had done for Israel, were alive.
32 Joseph’s bones, which the people of Israel had brought from Egypt, were buried at Shechem. They were placed in the plot of ground Jacob had bought from the sons of Hamor, father of Shechem, for 100 pieces of silver. The plot was inherited by Joseph’s descendants.

30 And they buried him in the land of his inheritance, at Timnath Serah[a](A) in the hill country of Ephraim, north of Mount Gaash.(B)
31 Israel served the Lord throughout the lifetime of Joshua and of the elders(C) who outlived him and who had experienced everything the Lord had done for Israel.
32 And Joseph’s bones,(D) which the Israelites had brought up from Egypt,(E) were buried at Shechem in the tract of land(F) that Jacob bought for a hundred pieces of silver[b] from the sons of Hamor, the father of Shechem. This became the inheritance of Joseph’s descendants.

31 (B)Israel served the Lord all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders who outlived Joshua, who had (C)known all the works of the Lord which He had done for Israel.
32 (D)The bones of Joseph, which the children of Israel had brought up out of Egypt, they buried at Shechem, in the plot of ground (E)which Jacob had bought from the sons of Hamor the father of Shechem for one hundred [a]pieces of silver, and which had become an inheritance of the children of Joseph.
