^16 (A)We will cut whatever timber you need from Lebanon and bring it to you as rafts by sea to Joppa, so that you may carry it up to Jerusalem.”

⁷ Then they gave money to the masons and carpenters, and ^(A)food, drink, and oil to the Sidonians and the Tyrians ^(B)to bring cedar wood from Lebanon to the sea at ^(C)Joppa, according to the permission they had ^[a]from ^(D)Cyrus king of Persia.

³ But Jonah got up to flee to ^(A)Tarshish ^(B)from the presence of the Lord. So he went down to ^(C)Joppa, found a ship that was going to Tarshish, paid the fare, and ^[a]boarded it to go with them to Tarshish away from the presence of the Lord.

³⁶ Now in ^(A)Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (which when translated means ^[a]Dorcas); this woman was ^[b]excelling in acts of kindness and charity which she did habitually.

⁴² It became known all over ^(A)Joppa, and ^(B)many believed in the Lord. ⁴³ And Peter stayed in ^(C)Joppa many days with ^(D)a tanner named Simon.

⁵ Now dispatch some men to ^(A)Joppa and send for a man named Simon, who is also called Peter;

⁸ and after he had explained everything to them, he sent them to ^(A)Joppa.

²³ So he invited them in and gave them lodging.
