³And it went out to the south side to Maalehacrabbim, and passed along to Zin, and ascended up on the south side unto Kadeshbarnea, and passed along to Hezron, and went up to Adar, and fetched a compass to Karkaa:

⁴From thence it passed toward Azmon, and went out unto the river of Egypt; and the goings out of that coast were at the sea: this shall be your south coast.

⁵And the east border was the salt sea, even unto the end of Jordan. And their border in the north quarter was from the bay of the sea at the uttermost part of Jordan:

³It goes out southward of ^(A)the ascent of Akrabbim, passes along to Zin, and goes up south of Kadesh-barnea, along by Hezron, up to Addar, turns about to Karka, ⁴passes along to Azmon, goes out by ^(B)the Brook of Egypt, and comes to its end at the sea. This shall be your south boundary. ⁵And the east boundary is the ^(C)Salt Sea, to the mouth of the Jordan. And the boundary on the north side runs from the bay of the sea at the mouth of the Jordan.

³crossed south of Scorpion Pass,^(A) continued on to Zin and went over to the south of Kadesh Barnea.^(B) Then it ran past Hezron up to Addar and curved around to Karka. ⁴It then passed along to Azmon^(C) and joined the Wadi of Egypt,^(D) ending at the Mediterranean Sea. This is their^[a] southern boundary.
