15 Then he went up from there against the population of Debir. Debir used to be called Kiriath-sepher. 16 Caleb said, “I will give Achsah my daughter in marriage to whoever strikes Kiriath-sepher and captures it.” 17 So Othniel son of Kenaz, Caleb’s brother, captured it, and Caleb gave him Achsah his daughter in marriage.

15 Then (A)he went up from there to the inhabitants of Debir (formerly the name of Debir was Kirjath Sepher).
16 (B)And Caleb said, “He who [a]attacks Kirjath Sepher and takes it, to him I will give Achsah my daughter as wife.” 17 So (C)Othniel the (D)son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it; and he gave him (E)Achsah his daughter as wife.
