El territorio no conquistado
13 Cuando Josué era ya bastante anciano, el Señor le dijo: «Ya estás muy viejo y todavía queda mucho territorio por conquistar.
2 »Esta es la tierra que aún falta por conquistar:
»Todas las regiones de los filisteos y guesureos, 3 que se extienden desde el río Sijor, al este de Egipto, hasta la frontera de Ecrón al norte. Esas regiones son consideradas territorio cananeo, pero ahora gobernadas por los cinco gobernantes filisteos: el de Gaza, el de Asdod, el de Ascalón, el de Gat y el de Ecrón.
También queda sin conquistar el territorio de los aveos.
4 Por el lado sur queda todo el territorio cananeo, desde Araj, tierra de los sidonios, hasta Afec, que está en la frontera de los amorreos.
5 Además queda el territorio de los guiblitas
y todo el Líbano oriental, desde Baal Gad, al pie del monte Hermón, hasta Lebó Jamat.[a]
6 »Yo mismo voy a echar de la presencia de los israelitas a todos los habitantes de Sidón y a cuantos viven en la región montañosa, desde el Líbano hasta Misrefot Mayin. Tú, por tu parte, repartirás y darás por herencia esta tierra a los israelitas, tal como te lo he ordenado. 7 Ya es tiempo de que repartas esta tierra entre las nueve tribus restantes y la otra media tribu de Manasés».
División de los territorios al oriente del Jordán
8 La otra media tribu de Manasés, la tribu de Rubén y de Gad ya habían recibido la herencia que Moisés, siervo del Señor, les había asignado al este del Jordán.
9 Abarcaba desde Aroer, que estaba a orillas del arroyo Arnón, con la población ubicada en medio del valle. Incluía también toda la meseta de Medeba hasta Dibón, 10 todas las ciudades de Sijón —rey de los amorreos que reinaba desde Hesbón—, hasta la frontera del país de los amonitas.
11 Comprendía, además, Galaad, el territorio de la gente de Guesur y Macá, toda la montaña del Hermón y todo Basán hasta Salcá. 12 Esa era la tierra de Og, rey de Basán, que reinó en Astarot y Edrey; fue el último de los refaítas, a quienes Moisés había derrotado y arrojado de su territorio. 13 Pero los israelitas no expulsaron de su territorio a los habitantes de Guesur y Macá, que hasta el día de hoy viven en territorio israelita.
14 Sin embargo, a la tribu de Leví Moisés no le dio tierras por herencia, pues su herencia son las ofrendas puestas al fuego por el pueblo del Señor, Dios de Israel, tal como él se lo había prometido.
15 Estas son las tierras que Moisés había entregado a cada uno de los clanes de la tribu de Rubén:
16 abarcaban desde Aroer, que estaba a orillas del arroyo Arnón, con la población ubicada en medio del valle. Incluían también toda la meseta de Medeba 17 hasta Hesbón y todas las poblaciones de la meseta: Dibón, Bamot Baal, Bet Baal Megón, 18 Yahaza, Cademot, Mefat, 19 Quiriatayin, Sibmá, Zaret Sajar, que está en la colina del valle, 20 Bet Peor, las laderas del monte Pisgá y Bet Yesimot; 21 es decir, las ciudades y los pueblos de la meseta, y todos los dominios de Sijón, rey amorreo que gobernó en Hesbón. Moisés había derrotado a este rey y a los jefes madianitas Eví, Requen, Zur, Hur y Reba, todos ellos aliados de Sijón y habitantes de la región. 22 Los israelitas mataron a filo de espada a muchos hombres en el campo de batalla, incluso al adivino Balán, hijo de Beor.
23 El río Jordán sirvió como frontera del territorio perteneciente a la tribu de Rubén. Estas ciudades y aldeas fueron la herencia de la tribu de Rubén, según sus clanes.
24 Moisés también había entregado a la tribu de Gad y a sus respectivos clanes los siguientes territorios:
25 las tierras de Jazer, todas las poblaciones de la región de Galaad y la mitad del territorio amonita, hasta Aroer que está frente a Rabá; 26 y las tierras comprendidas entre Hesbón, Ramat Mizpa y Betonín, y entre Majanayin y la frontera de Debir. 27 En el valle recibieron Bet Aram, Bet Nimrá, Sucot y Zafón, junto con lo que quedaba del reino de Sijón, rey de Hesbón. Así que su territorio se extendía desde el este del Jordán hasta el sur del lago Quinéret.[b]
28 Estas ciudades y aldeas fueron la herencia de la tribu de Gad, según sus clanes.
29 Estas son las tierras que Moisés había entregado a la media tribu de Manasés y sus clanes:
30 el territorio que abarca Majanayin y toda la región de Basán; es decir, todo el reino de Og, incluyendo los sesenta poblados de Yaír. 31 Además, la mitad de Galaad, Astarot y Edrey, ciudades del reino de Og, correspondió a la mitad de los descendientes de Maquir, hijo de Manasés, según sus clanes.
32 Esta es la herencia que Moisés repartió cuando se encontraba en las llanuras de Moab, al otro lado del río Jordán, al este de Jericó. 33 Sin embargo, a la tribu de Leví Moisés no le dio tierras por herencia, porque el Señor, Dios de Israel, es su herencia, tal como él se lo había prometido.

13 Now Joshua was old and stricken in years; and the Lord said unto him: “Thou art old and stricken in years, and there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed.
2 This is the land that yet remaineth: all the borders of the Philistines and all Geshuri,
3 from Sihor, which is before Egypt, even unto the borders of Ekron northward, which is counted as Canaanite; five lords of the Philistines — the Gazathites, and the Ashdothites, the Ashkelonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites; also the Avites;
4 from the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah that is beside the Sidonians, unto Aphek, to the borders of the Amorites;
5 and the land of the Gebalites, and all Lebanon, toward the sunrising, from Baalgad under Mount Hermon unto the entrance into Hamath.
6 All the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon unto Misrephothmaim, and all the Sidonians, them will I drive out from before the children of Israel. Only divide thou it by lot unto the Israelites for an inheritance, as I have commanded thee.
7 Now therefore divide this land for an inheritance unto the nine tribes and the halftribe of Manasseh”—
8 with whom the Reubenites and the Gadites have received their inheritance which Moses gave them beyond the Jordan eastward, even as Moses the servant of the Lord gave them:
9 from Aroer that is upon the bank of the River Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the river, and all the plain of Medeba unto Dibon;
10 and all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, unto the border of the children of Ammon;
11 and Gilead, and the border of the Geshurites and Maachathites, and all Mount Hermon, and all Bashan unto Salcah;
12 all the kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei, who remained of the remnant of the giants; for these did Moses smite and cast them out.
13 Nevertheless the children of Israel expelled not the Geshurites nor the Maachathites, but the Geshurites and the Maachathites dwell among the Israelites until this day.
14 Only unto the tribe of Levi he gave no inheritance; the sacrifices of the Lord God of Israel made by fire are their inheritance, as He said unto them.
15 And Moses gave unto the tribe of the children of Reuben inheritance according to their families.
16 And their border was from Aroer, that is on the bank of the River Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the river, and all the plain by Medeba;
17 Heshbon and all her cities that are in the plain: Dibon, and Bamothbaal, and Bethbaalmeon,
18 and Jahazah, and Kedemoth, and Mephaath,
19 and Kirjathaim, and Sibmah, and Zarethshahar on the mount of the valley,
20 and Bethpeor, and Ashdothpisgah, and Bethjeshimoth,
21 and all the cities of the plain and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses smote with the princes of Midian: Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, who were dukes of Sihon dwelling in the country.
22 Balaam also the son of Beor, the soothsayer, did the children of Israel slay with the sword among those who were slain by them.
23 And the border of the children of Reuben was the Jordan and the border thereof. This was the inheritance of the children of Reuben according to their families, the cities and the villages thereof.
24 And Moses gave inheritance unto the tribe of Gad, even unto the children of Gad according to their families.
25 And their border was Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the children of Ammon, unto Aroer that is before Rabbah;
26 and from Heshbon unto Ramathmizpeh, and Betonim, and from Mahanaim unto the border of Debir;
27 and in the valley, Betharam, and Bethnimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, the Jordan and his border, even unto the edge of the Sea of Chinnereth on the other side of the Jordan eastward.
28 This is the inheritance of the children of Gad according to their families, the cities and their villages.
29 And Moses gave inheritance unto the halftribe of Manasseh; and this was the possession of the halftribe of the children of Manasseh by their families:
30 and their border was from Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the towns of Jair, which are in Bashan, threescore cities;
31 and half of Gilead, and Ashtaroth, and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, were pertaining unto the children of Machir the son of Manasseh, even to one half of the children of Machir by their families.
32 These are the countries which Moses distributed for inheritance in the plains of Moab on the other side of the Jordan, by Jericho eastward.
33 But unto the tribe of Levi Moses gave not any inheritance: the Lord God of Israel was their inheritance, as He said unto them.
