¹⁷ We will obey you, just as we obeyed Moses in everything. Certainly the Lord your God will be with you, as he was with Moses.^(A)

⁸ The Lord said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid of them,^(A) for I have handed them over to you.^(B) Not one of them will be able to stand against you.”^(C)

³⁶ As it is written:

³⁷ No, in all these things we are more than conquerors^(C) through him who loved us.^{(D) 38} For I am persuaded that neither death nor life,^(E) nor angels nor rulers,^(F) nor things present nor things to come,^(G) nor powers, ³⁹ nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God^(H) that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.^(I)
