²⁴ And they burned the city with fire, and everything in it. ^(A)Only the silver and gold, and the vessels of bronze and of iron, they put into the treasury of the house of the Lord.

²⁸ So Joshua burned Ai and made it forever a ^(A)heap of ruins, as it is to this day.

¹⁶ And ^(A)the ten horns that you saw, they and the beast ^(B)will hate the prostitute. They will make her ^(C)desolate and ^(D)naked, and ^(E)devour her flesh and ^(F)burn her up with fire,

^9 (A)And he burned the house of the Lord ^(B)and the king's house and all the houses of Jerusalem; every great house he burned down.

¹⁶ You shall gather all its spoil into the midst of its open square and ^(A)burn the city and all its spoil with fire, as a whole burnt offering to the Lord your God. It shall be a ^(B)heap forever. It shall not be built again.

¹⁹ But all silver and gold, and every vessel of bronze and iron, are holy to the Lord; they shall go into the treasury of the Lord.”
