⁹ Then Yahweh said to Joshua, “Today I have rolled away ^(A)the reproach of Egypt from you.” So the name of that place is called ^[a]Gilgal to this day.

¹⁴ Then Samuel said to the people, “Come and let us go to ^(A)Gilgal and ^(B)renew the kingdom there.” ¹⁵ So all the people went to Gilgal, and there they made Saul king ^(C)before Yahweh in Gilgal. There they also ^(D)offered sacrifices of peace offerings before Yahweh; and there Saul and all the men of Israel were exceedingly glad.
