Joshua 24:2-4
International Standard Version
2 and Joshua told all of the people, “This is what the Lord God of Israel has to say:
‘Long ago your ancestors lived beyond the Euphrates[a] River, including Terah, father of both Abraham and Nahor, where they served other gods. 3 Then I took your ancestor Abraham from the other side of the Euphrates[b] River and led him through the entire land of Canaan. I multiplied his descendants, and gave him his son[c] Isaac. 4 I gave Jacob and Esau to Isaac. And I gave Mount Seir[d] to Esau as his possession, but Jacob and his children went down to Egypt.

New International Version
2 Joshua said to all the people, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘Long ago your ancestors, including Terah the father of Abraham and Nahor,(A) lived beyond the Euphrates River and worshiped other gods.(B) 3 But I took your father Abraham from the land beyond the Euphrates and led him throughout Canaan(C) and gave him many descendants.(D) I gave him Isaac,(E) 4 and to Isaac I gave Jacob and Esau.(F) I assigned the hill country of Seir(G) to Esau, but Jacob and his family went down to Egypt.(H)
