¹¹ When we heard it, ^(A)our hearts melted and no ^[a]courage remained in any man any longer because of you; for the ^(B)Lord your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath.

¹⁰ And even the one who is valiant, whose heart is like the heart of a lion, ^(A)will completely ^[a]lose heart; for all Israel knows that your father is a mighty man and those who are with him are valiant men.

⁷ And when they say to you, ‘Why do you groan?’ you shall say, ‘Because of the ^(A)news that is coming; and ^(B)every heart will melt, all hands will be feeble, every spirit will ^[a]faint and all knees will ^[b]be weak as water. Behold, it comes and it will happen,’ declares the Lord ^[c]God.”
