Joshua 14:12-15
English Standard Version
12 So now give me this hill country of which the Lord spoke on that day, for you heard on that day how the (A)Anakim were there, with great fortified cities. It may be that the Lord will be with me, and I shall drive them out just as the Lord said.”
13 Then Joshua (B)blessed him, and he gave (C)Hebron to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for an inheritance. 14 Therefore Hebron became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite to this day, (D)because he wholly followed the Lord, the God of Israel. 15 (E)Now the name of Hebron formerly was Kiriath-arba.[a] (Arba[b] was the greatest man among the Anakim.) (F)And the land had rest from war.

New International Version
12 Now give me this hill country that the Lord promised me that day.(A) You yourself heard then that the Anakites(B) were there and their cities were large and fortified,(C) but, the Lord helping me, I will drive them out just as he said.”
13 Then Joshua blessed(D) Caleb son of Jephunneh(E) and gave him Hebron(F) as his inheritance.(G) 14 So Hebron has belonged to Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite ever since, because he followed the Lord, the God of Israel, wholeheartedly.(H) 15 (Hebron used to be called Kiriath Arba(I) after Arba,(J) who was the greatest man among the Anakites.)
