21 all the cities of the plateau, and all the kingdom of King Sihon of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon. Moses had killed him and the chiefs of Midian—Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba—the princes of Sihon who lived in the land.(A) 22 Along with those the Israelites put to death, they also killed the diviner, Balaam son of Beor, with the sword.

New International Version
21 all the towns on the plateau(A) and the entire realm of Sihon king of the Amorites, who ruled at Heshbon. Moses had defeated him and the Midianite chiefs,(B) Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur and Reba(C)—princes allied with Sihon—who lived in that country. 22 In addition to those slain in battle, the Israelites had put to the sword Balaam son of Beor,(D) who practiced divination.(E)
