22 The Anakim no longer remained in the land of the Israelites. They survived only in Gaza, Gath, and Ashdod. 23 So Joshua took the whole land, exactly as the Lord had promised Moses. Joshua gave it as a legacy to Israel according to their tribal shares. Then the land had a rest from war.

22 No Anakites were left in Israelite territory; only in Gaza,(A) Gath(B) and Ashdod(C) did any survive.
23 So Joshua took the entire land,(D) just as the Lord had directed Moses, and he gave it as an inheritance(E) to Israel according to their tribal divisions.(F) Then the land had rest(G) from war.(H)
