16 Ajin med dess utmarker, Jutta med dess utmarker och Bet-Semes med dess utmarker - nio städer ur dessa två stammar. 17 Ur Benjamins stam gav man dem Gibeon med dess utmarker, Geba med dess utmarker, 18 Anatot med dess utmarker och Almon med dess utmarker - fyra städer. 19 De städer som Arons söner, prästerna, fick utgjorde tillsammans tretton städer med tillhörande utmarker.
20 De övriga kehatiternas släkter av leviterna fick ur Efraims stam följande städer, som lotten bestämde åt dem: 21 Man gav dem dråparfristaden Sikem med dess utmarker i Efraims bergsbygd, Gezer med dess utmarker 22 och Kibsajim med dess utmarker - fyra städer. 23 Från Dans stam fick de Elteke med dess utmarker, Gibbeton med dess utmarker, 24 Ajalon med dess utmarker och Gat-Rimmon med dess utmarker - fyra städer. 25 Från ena hälften av Manasse stam fick de Taanak med dess utmarker och Gat-Rimmon med dess utmarker - två städer. 26 De städer som de övriga kehatiternas släkter fick utgjorde alltså tio med tillhörande utmarker.
27 Bland leviternas släkter fick vidare Gersons barn ur ena hälften av Manasse stam dråparfristaden Golan i Basan med dess utmarker och Beestera med dess utmarker - två städer. 28 Ur Isaskars stam fick de Kisjon med dess utmarker, Dobrat med dess utmarker, 29 Jarmut med dess utmarker och En-Gannim med dess utmarker - fyra städer. 30 Ur Asers stam fick de Misal med dess utmarker, Abdon med dess utmarker, 31 Helkat med dess utmarker och Rehob med dess utmarker - fyra städer. 32 Ur Naftali stam fick de dråparfristaden Kedesh i Galileen med dess utmarker, Hammot-Dor med dess utmarker och Kartan med dess utmarker - tre städer. 33 Gersoniternas städer efter deras släkter utgjorde alltså tretton med tillhörande utmarker.
34 De övriga leviterna, Meraris barns släkter, fick ur Sebulons stam Jokneam med dess utmarker, Karta med dess utmarker, 35 Dimna med dess utmarker och Nahalal med dess utmarker - fyra städer. 36 Ur Rubens stam fick de Beser med dess utmarker, Jahsa med dess utmarker, 37 Kedemot med dess utmarker och Mefaat med dess utmarker - fyra städer. 38 Ur Gads stam fick de dråparfristaden Ramot i Gilead med dess utmarker, Mahanajim med dess utmarker, 39 Hesbon med dess utmarker och Jaser med dess utmarker - fyra städer. 40 De städer som de övriga leviternas släkter, Meraris barn, fick på sin lott efter sina släkter, var tolv städer.
41 Tillsammans utgjorde levitstäderna inom israeliternas besittningsområde fyrtioåtta städer med tillhörande utmarker. 42 Var och en av dessa städer bestod av staden med tillhörande utmarker runt omkring. Så var det med alla dessa städer.
43 Så gav Herren åt Israel hela det land som han med ed hade lovat ge åt deras fäder, och de tog det i besittning och bosatte sig där. 44 Herren gav dem ro på alla sidor, så som han med ed hade lovat deras fäder. Ingen av deras fiender kunde stå dem emot, utan Herren gav alla fienderna i deras hand. 45 Ingenting uteblev av allt det goda som Herren hade lovat Israels hus. Allt gick i fullbordan.

16 Ain,(A) Juttah(B) and Beth Shemesh,(C) together with their pasturelands—nine towns from these two tribes.
17 And from the tribe of Benjamin they gave them Gibeon,(D) Geba,(E) 18 Anathoth(F) and Almon, together with their pasturelands—four towns.
19 The total number of towns(G) for the priests, the descendants of Aaron, came to thirteen, together with their pasturelands.(H)
20 The rest of the Kohathite clans of the Levites were allotted towns from the tribe of Ephraim:
21 In the hill country of Ephraim they were given Shechem(I) (a city of refuge for one accused of murder) and Gezer,(J) 22 Kibzaim and Beth Horon,(K) together with their pasturelands—four towns.(L)
23 Also from the tribe of Dan they received Eltekeh, Gibbethon,(M) 24 Aijalon(N) and Gath Rimmon,(O) together with their pasturelands—four towns.
25 From half the tribe of Manasseh they received Taanach(P) and Gath Rimmon, together with their pasturelands—two towns.
26 All these ten towns and their pasturelands were given to the rest of the Kohathite clans.(Q)
27 The Levite clans of the Gershonites were given:
from the half-tribe of Manasseh,
Golan in Bashan(R) (a city of refuge for one accused of murder(S)) and Be Eshterah, together with their pasturelands—two towns;
28 from the tribe of Issachar,(T)
Kishion,(U) Daberath,(V) 29 Jarmuth(W) and En Gannim,(X) together with their pasturelands—four towns;
30 from the tribe of Asher,(Y)
32 from the tribe of Naphtali,
Kedesh(AC) in Galilee (a city of refuge for one accused of murder(AD)), Hammoth Dor and Kartan, together with their pasturelands—three towns.
33 The total number of towns of the Gershonite(AE) clans came to thirteen, together with their pasturelands.
34 The Merarite clans (the rest of the Levites) were given:
from the tribe of Zebulun,(AF)
Jokneam,(AG) Kartah, 35 Dimnah and Nahalal,(AH) together with their pasturelands—four towns;
36 from the tribe of Reuben,
38 from the tribe of Gad,
Ramoth(AL) in Gilead(AM) (a city of refuge for one accused of murder), Mahanaim,(AN) 39 Heshbon and Jazer,(AO) together with their pasturelands—four towns in all.
40 The total number of towns allotted to the Merarite clans, who were the rest of the Levites, came to twelve.(AP)
41 The towns of the Levites in the territory held by the Israelites were forty-eight in all, together with their pasturelands.(AQ) 42 Each of these towns had pasturelands surrounding it; this was true for all these towns.
43 So the Lord gave Israel all the land he had sworn to give their ancestors,(AR) and they took possession(AS) of it and settled there.(AT) 44 The Lord gave them rest(AU) on every side, just as he had sworn to their ancestors. Not one of their enemies(AV) withstood them; the Lord gave all their enemies(AW) into their hands.(AX) 45 Not one of all the Lord’s good promises(AY) to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.

The Promise Fulfilled
43 So the Lord gave to Israel (R)all the land of which He had sworn to give to their fathers, and they (S)took possession of it and dwelt in it. 44 (T)The Lord gave them (U)rest all around, according to all that He had sworn to their fathers. And (V)not a man of all their enemies stood against them; the Lord delivered all their enemies into their hand. 45 (W)Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.
