²⁵ And now, behold, we are in your hand. Whatever seems good and right in your sight to do to us, do it.”

⁶ But Abram said to Sarai, “Behold, your servant is in your power; do to her as you please.” Then Sarai dealt harshly with her, and she fled from her.

^14 (A)But as for me, behold, I am in your hands. Do with me as seems good and right to you.

²⁶ yes, Father, for such was your ^(A)gracious will.^[a]

⁵ King Zedekiah said, “Behold, he is in your hands, ^(A)for the king can do nothing against you.”

¹⁴ Then David said to Gad, “I am in great distress. Let us fall into the hand of the Lord, ^(A)for his mercy is great; but let me not fall into the hand of man.”

¹⁸ So Samuel told him everything and hid nothing from him. And he said, ^(A)“It is the Lord. Let him do what seems good to him.”

¹⁵ And the people of Israel said to the Lord, “We have sinned; do to us whatever seems good to you. Only please deliver us this day.”
