¹⁷ So the Israelites set out and on the third day came to their cities: Gibeon, Kephirah, Beeroth^(A) and Kiriath Jearim.^(B)

This was the inheritance of Benjamin for its clans.^(K)

³ and Solomon and the whole assembly went to the high place at Gibeon,^(A) for God’s tent of meeting^(B) was there, which Moses^(C) the Lord’s servant had made in the wilderness. ⁴ Now David had brought up the ark^(D) of God from Kiriath Jearim to the place he had prepared for it, because he had pitched a tent^(E) for it in Jerusalem.

²⁹ The tabernacle of the Lord, which Moses had made in the wilderness, and the altar of burnt offering were at that time on the high place at Gibeon.^(A)

⁵ So David assembled all Israel,^(A) from the Shihor River^(B) in Egypt to Lebo Hamath,^(C) to bring the ark of God from Kiriath Jearim.^{(D) 6} David and all Israel went to Baalah^(E) of Judah (Kiriath Jearim) to bring up from there the ark of God the Lord, who is enthroned between the cherubim^(F)—the ark that is called by the Name.

7 ¹ So the men of Kiriath Jearim came and took up the ark^(A) of the Lord. They brought it to Abinadab’s^(B) house on the hill and consecrated Eleazar his son to guard the ark of the Lord.
