⁵ It shall come to pass, when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when you hear the sound of the trumpet, that all the people shall shout with a great shout; then the wall of the city will fall down flat. And the people shall go up every man straight before him.”

By Faith They Overcame

³⁰ By faith ^(A)the walls of Jericho fell down after they were encircled for seven days.

¹⁹ And when the blast of the trumpet sounded long and became louder and louder, ^(A)Moses spoke, and ^(B)God answered him by voice.

¹⁴ And when Judah looked around, to their surprise the battle line was at both front and rear; and they ^(A)cried out to the Lord, and the priests sounded the trumpets. ¹⁵ Then the men of Judah gave a shout; and as the men of Judah shouted, it happened that God ^(B)struck Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah.

⁵² Now the men of Israel and Judah arose and shouted, and pursued the Philistines as far as the entrance of ^[a]the valley and to the gates of Ekron. And the wounded of the Philistines fell along the road to ^(A)Shaaraim, even as far as Gath and Ekron.

²⁰ So David rose early in the morning, left the sheep with a keeper, and took the things and went as Jesse had commanded him. And he came to the camp as the army was going out to the fight and shouting for the battle.

⁵ And when the ark of the covenant of the Lord came into the camp, all Israel shouted so loudly that the earth shook.

²⁰ Then the three companies blew the trumpets and broke the pitchers—they held the torches in their left hands and the trumpets in their right hands for blowing—and they cried, “The sword of the Lord and of Gideon!” ²¹ And ^(A)every man stood in his place all around the camp; ^(B)and the whole army ran and cried out and fled. ²² When the three hundred ^(C)blew the trumpets, ^(D)the Lord set ^(E)every man’s sword against his companion throughout the whole camp; and the army fled to ^[a]Beth Acacia, toward Zererah, as far as the border of ^(F)Abel Meholah, by Tabbath.

²⁰ So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that ^(A)the wall fell down flat. Then the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.
