³ You shall march around the city, all you men of war; you shall go all around the city once. This you shall do six days.

Cast Down but Unconquered

⁷ But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, ^(A)that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.

⁹ Only ^(A)do not rebel against the Lord, ^(B)nor fear the people of the land, for ^(C)they^[a] are our bread; their protection has departed from them, ^(D)and the Lord is with us. Do not fear them.”

²¹ For since, in the ^(A)wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. ²² For ^(B)Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom; ²³ but we preach Christ crucified, ^(C)to the Jews a ^[a]stumbling block and to the ^[b]Greeks ^(D)foolishness, ²⁴ but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ ^(E)the power of God and ^(F)the wisdom of God. ²⁵ Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

⁷ And he said to the people, “Proceed, and march around the city, and let him who is armed advance before the ark of the Lord.”

¹⁴ And the second day they marched around the city once and returned to the camp. So they did six days.
