³ March around the city once with all the armed men. Do this for six days.

⁷ But we have this treasure in jars of clay^(A) to show that this all-surpassing power is from God^(B) and not from us.

⁹ Only do not rebel^(A) against the Lord. And do not be afraid^(B) of the people of the land,^(C) because we will devour them. Their protection is gone, but the Lord is with^(D) us.^(E) Do not be afraid of them.”^(F)

²¹ For since in the wisdom of God the world^(A) through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save^(B) those who believe.^{(C) 22} Jews demand signs^(D) and Greeks look for wisdom, ²³ but we preach Christ crucified:^(E) a stumbling block^(F) to Jews and foolishness^(G) to Gentiles, ²⁴ but to those whom God has called,^(H) both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God^(I) and the wisdom of God.^{(J) 25} For the foolishness^(K) of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness^(L) of God is stronger than human strength.

⁷ And he ordered the army, “Advance^(A)! March around the city, with an armed guard going ahead of the ark^(B) of the Lord.”

¹⁴ So on the second day they marched around the city once and returned to the camp. They did this for six days.
