²⁵ But Joshua spared^(A) Rahab the prostitute,^(B) with her family and all who belonged to her, because she hid the men Joshua had sent as spies to Jericho^(C)—and she lives among the Israelites to this day.

³¹ By faith the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed the spies, was not killed with those who were disobedient.^[a](A)

²⁵ In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction?^(A)

²⁴ the spies saw a man coming out of the city and they said to him, “Show us how to get into the city and we will see that you are treated well.^(A)” ²⁵ So he showed them, and they put the city to the sword but spared^(B) the man and his whole family.

⁶ (But she had taken them up to the roof and hidden them under the stalks of flax^(A) she had laid out on the roof.)^(B)

⁹ Joshua set up the twelve stones^(A) that had been^[a] in the middle of the Jordan at the spot where the priests who carried the ark of the covenant had stood. And they are there to this day.^(B)
