^4 (A)Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure. Do not come near it, that you may know the way by which you must go, for you have not passed this way before.”

²⁸ Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we ^[a]may ^(A)serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. ²⁹ For ^(B)our God is a consuming fire.

² Also, in time past, even when Saul was king, you were the one who led Israel out and brought them in; and the Lord your ^(A)God said to you, ‘You shall ^(B)shepherd My people Israel, and be ruler over My people Israel.’ ”

⁵ Then He said, “Do not draw near this place. ^(A)Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground.”

¹² You shall set bounds for the people all around, saying, ‘Take heed to yourselves that you do not go up to the mountain or touch its base. ^(A)Whoever touches the mountain shall surely be put to death.

¹⁰ Then Moses said to the Lord, “O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but ^(A)I am slow of speech and ^[a]slow of tongue.”

² And Jacob saw the ^(A)countenance of Laban, and indeed it was not ^(B)favorable toward him as before.
