¹³ I have given you a land for which you did not labor, and ^(A)cities which you did not build, and you dwell in them; you eat of the vineyards and olive groves which you did not plant.’

⁷ For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, ^(A)a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, that flow out of valleys and hills;

Caution Against Disobedience

¹⁰ “So it shall be, when the Lord your God brings you into the land of which He ^[a]swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give you large and beautiful cities ^(A)which you did not build, ¹¹ houses full of all good things, which you did not fill, hewn-out wells which you did not dig, vineyards and olive trees which you did not plant—^(B)when you have eaten and are full— ¹² then beware, lest you forget the ^(C)Lord who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

^45 (A)Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.

¹³ But as for the cities that stood on their ^[a]mounds, Israel burned none of them, except Hazor only, which Joshua burned.
