¹⁴ “Now I am about to go the way of all the earth.^(A) You know with all your heart and soul that not one of all the good promises the Lord your God gave you has failed. Every promise^(B) has been fulfilled; not one has failed.^(C)

³³ Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.^(A)

² “I am about to go the way of all the earth,”^(A) he said. “So be strong,^(B) act like a man,

³ “‘If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey^(A) my commands, ⁴ I will send you rain^(B) in its season,^(C) and the ground will yield its crops and the trees their fruit.^{(D) 5} Your threshing will continue until grape harvest and the grape harvest will continue until planting, and you will eat all the food you want^(E) and live in safety in your land.^(F)

⁶ “‘I will grant peace in the land,^(G) and you will lie down^(H) and no one will make you afraid.^(I) I will remove wild beasts^(J) from the land, and the sword will not pass through your country. ⁷ You will pursue your enemies,^(K) and they will fall by the sword before you. ⁸ Five^(L) of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand, and your enemies will fall by the sword before you.^(M)

⁹ “‘I will look on you with favor and make you fruitful and increase your numbers,^(N) and I will keep my covenant^(O) with you. ¹⁰ You will still be eating last year’s harvest when you will have to move it out to make room for the new.^{(P) 11} I will put my dwelling place^[a](Q) among you, and I will not abhor you.^{(R) 12} I will walk^(S) among you and be your God,^(T) and you will be my people.^{(U) 13} I am the Lord your God,^(V) who brought you out of Egypt^(W) so that you would no longer be slaves to the Egyptians; I broke the bars of your yoke^(X) and enabled you to walk with heads held high.

¹⁰ Whatever^(A) your hand finds to do, do it with all your might,^(B) for in the realm of the dead,^(C) where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.^(D)

¹⁹ The Lord was with^(A) Samuel as he grew^(B) up, and he let none^(C) of Samuel’s words fall to the ground.

⁴³ So the Lord gave Israel all the land he had sworn to give their ancestors,^(A) and they took possession^(B) of it and settled there.^{(C) 44} The Lord gave them rest^(D) on every side, just as he had sworn to their ancestors. Not one of their enemies^(E) withstood them; the Lord gave all their enemies^(F) into their hands.^{(G) 45} Not one of all the Lord’s good promises^(H) to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.
