^11 (A)Therefore take careful heed to yourselves, that you love the Lord your God.

⁵ But ^(A)take^[a] careful heed to do the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, ^(B)to love the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, to keep His commandments, to hold fast to Him, and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul.”

^5 (A)You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, ^(B)with all your soul, and with all your strength.

⁶ “And ^(C)these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. ^7 (D)You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. ^8 (E)You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. ^9 (F)You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Caution Against Disobedience

¹⁰ “So it shall be, when the Lord your God brings you into the land of which He ^[a]swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give you large and beautiful cities ^(G)which you did not build, ¹¹ houses full of all good things, which you did not fill, hewn-out wells which you did not dig, vineyards and olive trees which you did not plant—^(H)when you have eaten and are full— ¹² then beware, lest you forget the ^(I)Lord who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

Maintain Your Life with God

²⁰ But you, beloved, ^(A)building yourselves up on your most holy faith, ^(B)praying in the Holy Spirit, ²¹ keep yourselves in the love of God, ^(C)looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

¹⁵ looking carefully lest anyone ^(A)fall short of the grace of God; lest any ^(B)root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;

²² If anyone ^(A)does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, ^(B)let him be ^[a]accursed. ^(C)O^[b] Lord, come!

³ But if anyone loves God, this one is known by Him.

²⁸ And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those ^(A)who are the called according to His purpose.
