³³ So the thing pleased the children of Israel, and the children of Israel ^(A)blessed God; they spoke no more of going against them in battle, to destroy the land where the children of Reuben and Gad dwelt.

²⁸ he took Him up in his arms and blessed God and said:

¹⁹ Then the secret was revealed to Daniel ^(A)in a night vision. So Daniel blessed the God of heaven.

²⁰ Then David said to all the assembly, “Now bless the Lord your God.” So all the assembly blessed the Lord God of their fathers, and bowed their heads and prostrated themselves before the Lord and the king.

³⁰ Now when Phinehas the priest and the rulers of the congregation, the heads of the ^[a]divisions of Israel who were with him, heard the words that the children of Reuben, the children of Gad, and the children of Manasseh spoke, it pleased them.

Encouraged by Timothy

^6 (A)But now that Timothy has come to us from you, and brought us good news of your faith and love, and that you always have good remembrance of us, greatly desiring to see us, ^(B)as we also to see you— ⁷ therefore, brethren, in all our affliction and distress ^(C)we were comforted concerning you by your faith. ⁸ For now we live, if you ^(D)stand fast in the Lord.

Redemption in Christ

^3 (A)Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,

⁷ and not only by his coming, but also by the ^[a]consolation with which he was comforted in you, when he told us of your earnest desire, your mourning, your zeal for me, so that I rejoiced even more.

³¹ When they had read it, they rejoiced over its encouragement.

¹² Then all the multitude kept silent and listened to Barnabas and Paul declaring how many miracles and wonders God had ^(A)worked through them among the Gentiles.
