³⁸ and from the tribe of Gad, ^(A)Ramoth in Gilead with its common-land (a city of refuge for the slayer), Mahanaim with its common-land,

² When Jacob saw them, he said, “This is God’s ^(A)camp.” And he called the name of that place ^[a]Mahanaim.

⁸⁰ And from the tribe of Gad: Ramoth in Gilead with its common-lands, Mahanaim with its common-lands,

³ And the king of Israel said to his servants, “Do you know that ^(A)Ramoth in Gilead is ours, but we hesitate to take it out of the hand of the king of Syria?”

³² Now Barzillai was a very aged man, eighty years old. And ^(A)he had provided the king with supplies while he stayed at Mahanaim, for he was a very rich man.

²⁴ Then David went to ^(A)Mahanaim. And Absalom crossed over the Jordan, he and all the men of Israel with him.

⁸ And on the other side of the Jordan, by Jericho eastward, they assigned ^(A)Bezer in the wilderness on the plain, from the tribe of Reuben, ^(B)Ramoth in Gilead, from the tribe of Gad, and ^(C)Golan in Bashan, from the tribe of Manasseh.
