¹⁰ which were for the children of Aaron, one of the families of the Kohathites, who were of the children of Levi; for the lot was theirs first.

⁴ Now the lot came out for the families of the Kohathites. And ^(A)the children of Aaron the priest, who were of the Levites, ^(B)had thirteen cities by lot from the tribe of Judah, from the tribe of Simeon, and from the tribe of Benjamin.

² “Take a census of the sons of ^(A)Kohath from among the children of Levi, by their families, by their fathers’ house,

^27 (A)From Kohath came the family of the Amramites, the family of the Izharites, the family of the Hebronites, and the family of the Uzzielites; these were the families of the Kohathites.

¹⁹ And the sons of ^(A)Kohath by their families: ^(B)Amram, Izehar, Hebron, and Uzziel.

² And these are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab, the ^(A)firstborn, and ^(B)Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. ³ These are the names of the sons of Aaron, ^(C)the anointed priests, ^[a]whom he consecrated to minister as priests. ^4 (D)Nadab and Abihu had died before the Lord when they offered profane fire before the Lord in the Wilderness of Sinai; and they had no children. So Eleazar and Ithamar ministered as priests in the presence of Aaron their father.

²⁰ Now ^(A)Amram took for himself ^(B)Jochebed, his father’s sister, as wife; and she bore him ^(C)Aaron and Moses. And the years of the life of Amram were one hundred and thirty-seven. ^21 (D)The sons of Izhar were Korah, Nepheg, and Zichri. ²² And ^(E)the sons of Uzziel were Mishael, Elzaphan, and Zithri. ²³ Aaron took to himself Elisheba, daughter of ^(F)Amminadab, sister of Nahshon, as wife; and she bore him ^(G)Nadab, Abihu, ^(H)Eleazar, and Ithamar. ²⁴ And ^(I)the sons of Korah were Assir, Elkanah, and Abiasaph. These are the families of the Korahites. ²⁵ Eleazar, Aaron’s son, took for himself one of the daughters of Putiel as wife; and ^(J)she bore him Phinehas. These are the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levites according to their families.

²⁶ These are the same Aaron and Moses to whom the Lord said, “Bring out the children of Israel from the land of Egypt according to their ^(K)armies.”^[a]

¹⁸ And ^(A)the sons of Kohath were Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel. And the years of the life of Kohath were one hundred and thirty-three.
