³ Then Joshua said to the children of Israel: ^(A)“How long will you neglect to go and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers has given you?

⁹ So they said, ^(A)“Arise, let us go up against them. For we have seen the land, and indeed it is very good. Would you ^(B)do nothing? Do not hesitate to go, and enter to possess the land.

⁶ And about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing ^[a]idle, and said to them, ‘Why have you been standing here idle all day?’

¹⁰ Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent ^(A)to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; ¹¹ for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

¹³ Brethren, I do not count myself to have ^[a]apprehended; but one thing I do, ^(A)forgetting those things which are behind and ^(B)reaching forward to those things which are ahead, ^14 (C)I press toward the goal for the prize of ^(D)the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

^27 (A)Do not labor for the food which perishes, but ^(B)for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, ^(C)because God the Father has set His seal on Him.”
