²² Beth Arabah, Zemaraim, Bethel,

⁴ Then Abijah stood on Mount ^(A)Zemaraim, which is in the mountains of Ephraim, and said, “Hear me, Jeroboam and all Israel:

²⁹ And he set up one in ^(A)Bethel, and the other he put in ^(B)Dan. ³⁰ Now this thing became ^(C)a sin, for the people went to worship before the one as far as Dan. ³¹ He made ^[a]shrines on the high places, ^(D)and made priests from every class of people, who were not of the sons of Levi.

³² Jeroboam ^[b]ordained a feast on the fifteenth day of the eighth month, like ^(E)the feast that was in Judah, and offered sacrifices on the altar. So he did at Bethel, sacrificing to the calves that he had made. ^(F)And at Bethel he installed the priests of the high places which he had made.

¹⁸ Then it passed along toward the north side of ^[a]Arabah, and went down to Arabah.

⁶ The border went up to ^(A)Beth Hoglah and passed north of Beth Arabah; and the border went up ^(B)to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben.
