Allotment for Judah^(A)

15 The allotment for the tribe of Judah, according to its clans, extended down to the territory of Edom,^(B) to the Desert of Zin^(C) in the extreme south.^(D)

⁵⁵ Be sure that the land is distributed by lot.^(A) What each group inherits will be according to the names for its ancestral tribe. ⁵⁶ Each inheritance is to be distributed by lot among the larger and smaller groups.”

² Their inheritances were assigned by lot^(A) to the nine and a half tribes,^(B) as the Lord had commanded through Moses.

³ “‘Your southern side will include some of the Desert of Zin^(A) along the border of Edom. Your southern boundary will start in the east from the southern end of the Dead Sea,^{(B) 4} cross south of Scorpion Pass,^(C) continue on to Zin and go south of Kadesh Barnea.^(D) Then it will go to Hazar Addar and over to Azmon,^{(E) 5} where it will turn, join the Wadi of Egypt^(F) and end at the Mediterranean Sea.
