⁹ So Moses swore on that day, saying, ^(A)‘Surely the land ^(B)where your foot has trodden shall be your inheritance and your children’s forever, because you have wholly followed the Lord my God.’

^3 (A)Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses.

^36 (A)except Caleb the son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him and his children I am giving the land on which he walked, because ^(B)he ^[a]wholly followed the Lord.’

^22 (A)because all these men who have seen My glory and the signs which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have put Me to the test now ^(B)these ten times, and have not heeded My voice, ²³ they certainly shall not ^(C)see the land of which I ^[a]swore to their fathers, nor shall any of those who rejected Me see it. ²⁴ But My servant ^(D)Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and ^(E)has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it.

²² And they went up through the South and came to ^(A)Hebron; Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the descendants of ^(B)Anak, were there. (Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.)
