^5 (A)As the Lord had commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did; and they divided the land.

² And they spoke to them at ^(A)Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, ^(B)“The Lord commanded through Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with their common-lands for our livestock.”

Cities for the Levites

35 And the Lord spoke to Moses in ^(A)the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho, saying: ^2 (B)“Command the children of Israel that they give the Levites cities to dwell in from the inheritance of their possession, and you shall also give the Levites ^(C)common-land around the cities.
