¹⁰ And now, behold, the Lord has kept me ^(A)alive, ^(B)as He said, these forty-five years, ever since the Lord spoke this word to Moses while Israel ^[a]wandered in the wilderness; and now, here I am this day, eighty-five years old.

³³ And your sons shall ^(A)be ^[a]shepherds in the wilderness ^(B)forty years, and ^(C)bear the brunt of your infidelity, until your carcasses are consumed in the wilderness. ^34 (D)According to the number of the days in which you spied out the land, ^(E)forty days, for each day you shall bear your ^[b]guilt one year, namely forty years, ^(F)and you shall know My ^[c]rejection.

^30 (A)Except for Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun, you shall by no means enter the land which I ^[a]swore I would make you dwell in.
