⁴ from the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah that belongs to the Sidonians ^(A)as far as Aphek, to the border of ^(B)the Amorites;

³⁰ Also Ummah, Aphek, and Rehob were included: twenty-two cities with their villages.

Now Israel went out to battle against the Philistines, and encamped beside ^(A)Ebenezer; and the Philistines encamped in Aphek.

The Kings Conquered by Joshua

⁷ And these are the kings of the country ^(A)which Joshua and the children of Israel conquered on this side of the Jordan, on the west, from Baal Gad in the Valley of Lebanon as far as ^[a]Mount Halak and the ascent to ^(B)Seir, which Joshua ^(C)gave to the tribes of Israel as a possession according to their divisions, ^8 (D)in the mountain country, in the lowlands, in the Jordan plain, in the slopes, in the wilderness, and in the South—^(E)the Hittites, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites:

³ to the Canaanites in the east and in the west, the ^(A)Amorite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Jebusite in the mountains, ^(B)and the Hivite below ^(C)Hermon ^(D)in the land of Mizpah.

⁴⁰ So Joshua conquered all the land: the ^(A)mountain country and the ^[a]South and the lowland and the wilderness slopes, and ^(B)all their kings; he left none remaining, but ^(C)utterly destroyed all that breathed, as the Lord God of Israel had commanded.
