³⁰ Their territory was from Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and ^(A)all the towns of Jair which are in Bashan, sixty cities;

²⁶ and from Heshbon to Ramath Mizpah and Betonim, and from Mahanaim to the border of Debir,

²¹ Now afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of ^(A)Machir the father of Gilead, whom he married when he was sixty years old; and she bore him Segub. ²² Segub begot ^(B)Jair,^[a] who had twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead. ^23 (C)(Geshur and Syria took from them the towns of Jair, with Kenath and its towns—sixty towns.) All these belonged to the sons of Machir the father of Gilead.

^13 (A)The rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, the kingdom of Og, I gave to half the tribe of Manasseh. (All the region of Argob, with all Bashan, was called the land of the ^[a]giants. ^14 (B)Jair the son of Manasseh took all the region of Argob, ^(C)as far as the border of the Geshurites and the Maachathites, and ^(D)called Bashan after his own name, ^[b]Havoth Jair, to this day.)

³⁹ And the children of ^(A)Machir the son of Manasseh went to Gilead and took it, and ^[a]dispossessed the Amorites who were in it. ⁴⁰ So Moses ^(B)gave Gilead to Machir the son of Manasseh, and he dwelt in it. ⁴¹ Also ^(C)Jair the son of Manasseh went and took its small towns, and called them ^(D)Havoth Jair.^[b]
