²⁰ and Beth-peor, and the slopes of Pisgah, and Beth-jeshimoth,

³ and the Arabah to the Sea of Chinneroth eastward, and in the direction of Beth-jeshimoth, to the sea of the Arabah, the Dead Sea,^[a] southward to the foot of the slopes of Pisgah;^(A)

⁴⁶ beyond the Jordan in the valley opposite Beth-peor, in the land of King Sihon of the Amorites, who reigned at Heshbon, whom Moses and the Israelites defeated when they came out of Egypt.^(A)

⁹ therefore I will lay open the flank of Moab from the towns^[a] on its frontier, the glory of the country, Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon, and Kiriathaim.

¹⁷ the Arabah also, with the Jordan and its banks, from Chinnereth down to the sea of the Arabah, the Dead Sea,^[a] with the lower slopes of Pisgah on the east.^(A)

⁴⁹ they camped by the Jordan from Beth-jeshimoth as far as Abel-shittim in the plains of Moab.^(A)

³ Thus Israel yoked itself to the Baal of Peor, and the Lord’s anger was kindled against Israel.^(A)
