⁸ and the Lord gave them into the hand of Israel. They defeated them and pursued them all the way to Greater Sidon,^(A) to Misrephoth Maim,^(B) and to the Valley of Mizpah on the east, until no survivors were left.

⁶ “As for all the inhabitants of the mountain regions from Lebanon to Misrephoth Maim,^(A) that is, all the Sidonians, I myself will drive them out^(B) before the Israelites. Be sure to allocate this land to Israel for an inheritance, as I have instructed you,^(C)

⁴⁴ The Lord gave them rest^(A) on every side, just as he had sworn to their ancestors. Not one of their enemies^(B) withstood them; the Lord gave all their enemies^(C) into their hands.^(D)

³ to the Canaanites in the east and west; to the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites^(A) and Jebusites in the hill country;^(B) and to the Hivites^(C) below Hermon^(D) in the region of Mizpah.^(E)
