⁴ Then the Lord said, “Is it right for you to be angry?”

^15 (A)Is it not lawful for me to do what I wish with my own things? Or ^(B)is your eye evil because I am good?’

⁹ Then God said to Jonah, “Is it right for you to be angry about the plant?”

And he said, “It is right for me to be angry, even to death!”

Qualities Needed in Trials

^19 [a]So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, ^(A)slow to speak, ^(B)slow to wrath; ²⁰ for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

¹¹ Then Moses lifted his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod; ^(A)and water came out abundantly, and the congregation and their animals drank.

²⁴ “Aaron shall ^[a]be ^(A)gathered to his people, for he shall not enter the land which I have given to the children of Israel, because you rebelled against My word at the water of Meribah.
