¹⁰ Then the Lord spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah out onto the dry land.

²⁶ And he said to them, “Why are you afraid, you of little faith?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a dead calm.^{(A) 27} They were amazed, saying, “What sort of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him?”

⁸ The centurion answered, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof, but only speak the word, and my servant^[a] will be healed.^{(A) 9} For I also am a man under authority, with soldiers under me, and I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes, and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes, and to my slave, ‘Do this,’ and the slave does it.”

^17 [a]But the Lord provided a large fish to swallow up Jonah, and Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.^(A)

³ Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.^(A)

¹⁴ And God said, “Let there be lights in the dome of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years,^(A)
