But you, Lord my God,

⁷ “When my life was ebbing away,
    I remembered^(C) you, Lord,
and my prayer^(D) rose to you,
    to your holy temple.^(E)

⁸ “Those who cling to worthless idols^(F)
    turn away from God’s love for them.
⁹ But I, with shouts of grateful praise,^(G)
    will sacrifice^(H) to you.
What I have vowed^(I) I will make good.
    I will say, ‘Salvation^(J) comes from the Lord.’”
