John 7:50-52

New King James Version

⁵⁰Nicodemus ^(A)(he who came to ^[a]Jesus ^[b]by night, being one of them) said to them, ⁵¹^(B)“Does our law judge a man before it hears him and knows what he is doing?”

⁵²They answered and said to him, “Are you also from Galilee? Search and look, for ^(C)no prophet ^[c]has arisen out of Galilee.”

⁵⁰Nicodemus,^(A) who had gone to Jesus earlier and who was one of their own number, asked, ⁵¹“Does our law condemn a man without first hearing him to find out what he has been doing?”

⁵²They replied, “Are you from Galilee, too? Look into it, and you will find that a prophet does not come out of Galilee.”^(B)
