53 Jesus said, “I tell you the truth. You must eat the flesh of the Son of Man. And you must drink his blood. If you don’t do this, then you won’t have real life in you. 54 He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life. I will raise him up on the last day. 55 My flesh is true food. My blood is true drink.

53 Jesus sa då om igen: Jag försäkrar er: Om ni inte äter Människosonens kropp och dricker hans blod så kan ni inte ha evigt liv i er.
54 Men var och en som äter min kropp och dricker mitt blod har evigt liv, och jag kommer att uppväcka honom på den yttersta dagen.
55 För min kropp ger den näring som är nödvändig för att leva, och mitt blod är en livgivande dryck.
