16 Les Juifs se mirent donc à accuser Jésus parce qu’il avait fait cela le jour du sabbat.
17 Jésus leur répondit : Mon Père est à l’œuvre jusqu’à présent, et moi aussi je suis à l’œuvre.
18 Cette remarque fut pour eux une raison de plus pour chercher à le faire mourir car, non content de violer la loi sur le sabbat, il appelait encore Dieu son propre Père et se faisait ainsi l’égal de Dieu.

The Authority of the Son
16 So, because Jesus was doing these things on the Sabbath, the Jewish leaders began to persecute him. 17 In his defense Jesus said to them, “My Father(A) is always at his work(B) to this very day, and I too am working.” 18 For this reason they tried all the more to kill him;(C) not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.(D)
