Yesu Awatokea Wafuasi Wake
(Mt 28:16-20; Mk 16:14-18; Lk 24:36-49)
19 Ilikuwa siku ya Jumapili, na jioni ile wafuasi walikuwa pamoja. Nao walikuwa wamefunga milango kwa kuwa waliwaogopa viongozi wa Wayahudi. Ghafla, Yesu akawa amesimama pale katikati yao. Akasema, “Amani iwe nanyi!” 20 Mara baada ya kusema haya, aliwaonesha mikono yake na ubavu wake. Wafuasi walipomwona Bwana, walifurahi sana.
21 Kisha Yesu akasema tena, “Amani iwe nanyi. Kama vile Baba alivyonituma, nami sasa nawatuma ninyi vivyo hivyo.” 22 Kisha akawapumulia pumzi na kusema, “Pokeeni Roho Mtakatifu. 23 Mkisamehe dhambi zake mtu yeyote, dhambi zake hizo zitasamehewa. Kama kuna mtu yeyote ambaye hamtamsamehe dhambi zake, dhambi zake huyo hazitasamehewa.”

Jesus Appears to His Disciples
19 On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders,(A) Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace(B) be with you!”(C) 20 After he said this, he showed them his hands and side.(D) The disciples were overjoyed(E) when they saw the Lord.
21 Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you!(F) As the Father has sent me,(G) I am sending you.”(H) 22 And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.(I) 23 If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”(J)
