One in Christ
11 Therefore remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh, called “the uncircumcision” by what is called (A)the circumcision, which is made in the flesh by hands— 12 remember (B)that you were at that time separated from Christ, (C)alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to (D)the covenants of promise, (E)having no hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were (F)far off have been brought near (G)by the blood of Christ. 14 For (H)he himself is our peace, (I)who has made us both one and has broken down (J)in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility 15 by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in (K)ordinances, that he might create in himself one (L)new man in place of the two, so making peace, 16 and might (M)reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility. 17 And he came and (N)preached peace to you who were (O)far off and peace to those who were (P)near. 18 For (Q)through him we both have (R)access in (S)one Spirit to the Father. 19 So then you are no longer (T)strangers and aliens,[a] but you are (U)fellow citizens with the saints and (V)members of the household of God, 20 (W)built on the foundation of the (X)apostles and prophets, (Y)Christ Jesus himself being (Z)the cornerstone, 21 (AA)in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into (AB)a holy temple in the Lord. 22 In him (AC)you also are being built together (AD)into a dwelling place for God by[b] the Spirit.Read full chapter

Love One Another
11 For (A)this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, (B)that we should love one another. 12 We should not be like (C)Cain, who was of the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? (D)Because his own deeds were evil and his brother's righteous. 13 Do not be surprised, brothers,[a] (E)that the world hates you. 14 We know that (F)we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers. Whoever does not love abides in death. 15 (G)Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that (H)no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
16 By this we know love, that (I)he laid down his life for us, and (J)we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. 17 But (K)if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet (L)closes his heart against him, (M)how does God's love abide in him? 18 Little children, let us not (N)love in word or talk but in deed and (O)in truth.
19 By this we shall know that we are of the truth and reassure our heart before him; 20 for whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything. 21 Beloved, (P)if our heart does not condemn us, (Q)we have confidence before God; 22 and (R)whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and (S)do what pleases him. 23 And this is his commandment, (T)that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and (U)love one another, (V)just as he has commanded us. 24 (W)Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God,[b] and God[c] in him. And (X)by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us.Read full chapter
