⁶ Having said these things, ^(A)he spit on the ground and made mud with the saliva. ^(B)Then he anointed the man's eyes with the mud ⁷ and said to him, “Go, wash in ^(C)the pool of Siloam” (which means Sent). So he went and washed and ^(D)came back seeing.

The Faith of a Canaanite Woman

^21 (A)And Jesus went away from there and withdrew to the district of Tyre and Sidon. ²² And behold, ^(B)a Canaanite woman from that region came out and was crying, ^(C)“Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David; my daughter is severely oppressed by a demon.” ²³ But he did not answer her a word. And his disciples came and begged him, saying, ^(D)“Send her away, for she is crying out after us.” ²⁴ He answered, ^(E)“I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” ²⁵ But she came and ^(F)knelt before him, saying, “Lord, help me.” ²⁶ And he answered, “It is not right to take the children's bread and ^(G)throw it to the dogs.” ²⁷ She said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs eat ^(H)the crumbs that fall from their masters' table.” ²⁸ Then Jesus answered her, “O woman, ^(I)great is your faith! ^(J)Be it done for you as you desire.” ^(K)And her daughter was ^(L)healed instantly.^[a]

²⁵ And there was a woman ^(A)who had had a discharge of blood for twelve years, ²⁶ and who had suffered much under many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better but rather grew worse. ²⁷ She had heard the reports about Jesus and came up behind him in the crowd and touched his garment. ²⁸ For she said, “If I touch even his garments, I will be made well.” ^29 (B)And immediately the flow of blood dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her ^(C)disease. ³⁰ And Jesus, perceiving in himself that ^(D)power had gone out from him, immediately turned about in the crowd and said, “Who touched my garments?” ³¹ And his disciples said to him, “You see the crowd pressing around you, and yet you say, ‘Who touched me?’” ³² And he looked around to see who had done it. ³³ But the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came in fear and trembling and fell down before him and told him the whole truth. ³⁴ And he said to her, “Daughter, ^(E)your faith has made you well; ^(F)go in peace, and be healed of your ^(G)disease.”

³² And they brought to him ^(A)a man who was deaf and ^(B)had a speech impediment, and they begged him to ^(C)lay his hand on him. ³³ And ^(D)taking him aside from the crowd privately, he put his fingers into his ears, and ^(E)after spitting touched his tongue. ³⁴ And ^(F)looking up to heaven, ^(G)he sighed and said to him, “Ephphatha,” that is, “Be opened.” ^35 (H)And his ears were opened, his tongue was released, and he spoke plainly.

Jesus Heals a Blind Man at Bethsaida

²² And they came ^(A)to Bethsaida. And some people brought to him a blind man and begged him to touch him. ²³ And ^(B)he took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the village, and when ^(C)he had ^(D)spit on his eyes and ^(E)laid his hands on him, he asked him, “Do you see anything?” ²⁴ And he looked up and said, “I see people, but they look like trees, walking.” ²⁵ Then Jesus^[a] laid his hands on his eyes again; and he opened his eyes, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.
