³⁴ They answered and said to him, ^(A)“You were completely born in sins, and are you teaching us?” And they ^[a]cast him out.

²² His parents said these things because ^(A)they feared the Jews, for the Jews had agreed already that if anyone confessed that He was Christ, he ^(B)would be put out of the synagogue.

² And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, ^(A)who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”

The Lord Vindicates Zion

^17 (A)Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.”

⁹ And they said, “Stand back!” Then they said, “This one ^(A)came in to ^[a]stay here, ^(B)and he keeps acting as a judge; now we will deal worse with you than with them.” So they pressed hard against the man Lot, and came near to break down the door.

¹⁷ and that no one may buy or sell except one who has ^[a]the mark or ^(A)the name of the beast, ^(B)or the number of his name.
