13 They brought to the Pharisees the man who had formerly been blind. 14 (A)Now it was a Sabbath day when Jesus made the mud and opened his eyes. 15 (B)So the Pharisees again asked him how he had received his sight. And he said to them, “He put mud on my eyes, and I washed, and I see.” 16 Some of the Pharisees said, “This man is not (C)from God, (D)for he does not keep the Sabbath.” But others said, (E)“How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?” And (F)there was a division among them.

On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the (D)sojourner who is within your gates. 11 For (E)in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
