Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.

And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.

And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,

They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.

Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?

This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.

So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.

And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?

11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

13 The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true.

14 Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go.

15 Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.

16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.

17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.

18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.

19 Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.

20 These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.

21 Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come.

22 Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come.

23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.

24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

25 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning.

26 I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.

27 They understood not that he spake to them of the Father.

28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.

29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

30 As he spake these words, many believed on him.

31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

33 They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?

34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.

36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

37 I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.

38 I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.

39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.

41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.

42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.

44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

46 Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?

47 He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

48 Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil?

49 Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me.

50 And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth.

51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.

52 Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death.

53 Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself?

54 Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:

55 Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying.

56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.

57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?

58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

Ciisese wuxuu u baxay Buur Saytuun. Aroortii hore ayuu haddana macbudka yimid, dadkii oo dhammuna way u yimaadeen, oo intuu fadhiistay, ayuu wax baray. Culimmadii iyo Farrisiintii waxay u keeneen naag sino lagu qabtay. Markaasay dhexda joojiyeen, oo waxay isagii ku yidhaahdeen, Macallimow, naagtan waxaa lagu qabtay sino. Hadda Muuse wuxuu sharciga nagu amray in la dhagxiyo tan oo kale, adiguse maxaad ka leedahay iyada? Waxay waxaas u yidhaahdeen, iyagoo jirrabaya, si ay u helaan wax ay ku ashtakeeyaan. Laakiin Ciise waa foororsaday, oo farta ayuu dhulka wax ku qoray. Laakiin goortay sii wadeen inay weyddiiyaan, wuu istaagay, oo wuxuu ku yidhi, Kii idinka mid ah oo aan dembi lahayn, isagu horta dhagax ha ku tuuro. Mar kale ayuu foororsaday, oo haddana dhulka wax ku qoray. Iyagu markay waxaas maqleen, ayay iska daba baxeen midba mid, waayeelladii ka bilaabato ilaa kii u dambeeyey. Ciisena keligiis ayuu hadhay iyo naagtii dhexda joogtay. 10 Ciise ayaa istaagay oo ku yidhi iyadii, Naag yahay, xaggee bay joogaan? Ninna miyaanu ku xukumin? 11 Waxay ku tidhi, Ninna, Sayidow. Ciisena wuxuu ku yidhi, Anna ku xukumi maayo. Soco, oo hadda ka dib ha dembaabin.

Nuurka Dunida

12 Haddaba Ciise ayaa mar kale la hadlay iyaga, oo wuxuu ku yidhi, Anigu waxaan ahay nuurka dunida. Kii i soo raacaa, gudcurka kuma socon doono, wuxuuse lahaan doonaa nuurka nolosha. 13 Sidaa aawadeed Farrisiintu waxay ku yidhaahdeen, Marag baad isu furaysaa, maraggaagguna run ma aha. 14 Ciise baa u jawaabay oo wuxuu ku yidhi, In kastoo aan marag isu furo, maraggaygu waa run, waayo, waxaan garanayaa meeshaan ka imid iyo meeshaan tegayo, idinkuse garan maysaan meeshaan ka imid ama meeshaan tegayo. 15 Idinku waxaad wax ka xukuntaan xagga jidhka, aniguse ninna ma xukumo. 16 Haddaan xukumo, xukunkaygu waa run, waayo, anigu keligay ma ihi, laakiin waa aniga iyo Aabbahaygii i soo diray. 17 Sharcigiinna waxaa ku qoran, Laba nin maraggoodu waa run. 18 Anigu waxaan ahay kii isu marag fura, oo Aabbahaygii i soo dirayna ayaa ii marag fura. 19 Sidaas aawadeed waxay ku yidhaahdeen, Aabbahaa xaggee buu joogaa? Ciise ayaa ugu jawaabay, I garan maysaan, Aabbahayna garan maysaan. Haddaad i garanaysaan, Aabbahayna waad garan lahaydeen. 20 Hadalladaas ayuu kaga hadlay meeshii khasnaddu tiil intuu macbudka wax ku barayay. Oo ninna ma uu qaban isaga, waayo, saacaddiisii weli ma iman.

Digidda Ku Saabsan Xukunka Imanaya

21 Sidaas aawadeed wuxuu haddana ku yidhi iyaga, Waan tegayaa, waadna i doondooni doontaan, waadna ku dhiman doontaan dembigiinna. Meeshaan tegayo iman kari maysaan. 22 Sidaas daraaddeed Yuhuuddu waxay yidhaahdeen, Miyuu isdilayaa? Waayo, isagaa yidhi, Meeshaan tegayo iman kari maysaan. 24 Haddaba waxaan idinku idhi, Dembiyadiinna waad ku dhiman doontaan, waayo, haddaydnan rumaysan inaan isagii ahay, dembiyadiinna ayaad ku dhiman doontaan. 25 Haddaba waxay ku yidhaahdeen, Yaad tahay? Ciise wuxuu ku yidhi, Kii aan tan iyo bilowgii idinkala hadlay. 26 Waxaan hayaa wax badan oo aan idinkala hadlo oo aan idinku xukumo, laakiin kii i soo diray waa run, aniguna waxaan ka maqlay isaga, waxaas ayaan dunida kula hadlayaa. 27 Ma ayna garan inuu iyaga kala hadlay Aabbaha. 28 Sidaas aawadeed Ciise ayaa ku yidhi, Markaad Wiilka Aadanaha kor u qaaddaan, markaasaad garan doontaan inaan isagii ahay iyo inaanan keligay waxba samaynaynin, laakiin sida Aabbuhu ii baray ayaan waxyaalahaas ugu hadlaa. 29 Oo kii i soo diray ayaa ila jira, keligay igama uu tegin, waayo, mar kasta waxaan sameeyaa waxa ka farxiya isaga. 30 Intuu waxyaalahaas ku hadlayay, dad badan ayaa rumaystay isaga.

Ciise Wuxuu La Dooday Yuhuuddii

31 Sidaas aawadeed Ciise wuxuu ku yidhi Yuhuuddii isaga rumaysatay, Haddaad ereygayga ku sii socotaan, runtii waxaad tihiin xertayda. 32 Oo waxaad garan doontaan runta; runtiina waa idin xorayn doontaa. 33 Waxay ugu jawaabeen, Farcankii Ibraahim baannu nahay, oo weligayo addoommo ninna uma ahayn. Maxaad u leedahay, Waa laydin xorayn doonaa? 34 Ciise ayaa ugu jawaabay, Runtii, runtii, waxaan idinku leeyahay, Kii kasta oo dembi sameeyaa waa addoonkii dembiga. 35 Oo addoonkuna guriga kuma sii jiro, wiilkuse waa ku sii jiraa weligiis. 36 Sidaas aawadeed haddii Wiilku idin xoreeyo, runtii xor baad ahaan doontaan. 37 Waan garanayaa inaad farcankii Ibraahim tihiin, laakiin waxaad doonaysaan inaad i dishaan, waayo, hadalkaygu meel idinkuma haysto. 38 Waxaan xaggii Aabbahay ku soo arkay ayaan ka hadlaa, idinkuna waxaad samaysaan wixii aydin aabbihiin ka maqasheen. 39 Markaasay u jawaabeen oo waxay ku yidhaahdeen, Aabbahayo waa Ibraahim. Ciise ayaa ku yidhi, Haddaad carruurtii Ibraahim tihiin, shuqullada Ibraahim waad samayn lahaydeen. 40 Laakiin hadda waxaad doonaysaan inaad i dishaan, anoo ah ninkii idiin sheegay runtii aan xaggii Ilaah ka maqlay. Waxaas Ibraahim ma uu samayn jirin. 41 Waxaad samaysaan shuqullada aabbihiin. Markaasay ku yidhaahdeen, Annagu kuma aannu dhalan sino. Aabbe keliya ayaannu leennahay oo waa Ilaah. 42 Ciise wuxuu ku yidhi, Haddii Ilaah aabbihiin yahay, waad i jeclaan lahaydeen, maxaa yeelay, Ilaah baan ka soo baxay oo ka imid, aniguna iskama iman, ee isagaa i soo diray. 43 Maxaad hadalkayga u garan weydeen? Waayo, hadalkayga ma maqli karaysaane. 44 Idinku waxaad tihiin kuwo aabbahood Ibliiska yahay, oo waxaad doonaysaan inaad samaysaan damacyada aabbihiin. Tan iyo bilowgii wuxuu ahaa mid dhiig qaba, runtana kuma uu joogsan, waayo, runtu kuma jirto isaga. Markuu been ku hadlo, tiisuu ku hadlaa, waayo, waa beenaaleh, waana beenta aabbaheed. 45 Laakiin runta aan ku hadlo aawadeed waad i rumaysan weydeen. 46 Midkiinnee baa dembi igu caddaynaya? Haddaan runta sheego, maxaad ii rumaysan weydaan? 47 Kii Ilaah kuwiisa ka mid ah, erayada Ilaah ayuu maqlaa, sidaas daraaddeed idinku maqli maysaan, waayo, Ilaah kuwiisii ma ihidin.

48 Yuhuuddu waxay ugu jawaabeen, Miyaannan run ku hadlin markaannu nidhi, Reer Samaariya baad tahay, oo jinni baad qabtaa? 49 Ciise wuxuu ugu jawaabay, Jinni ma qabo, laakiin Aabbahay baan murweeyaa, idinkuna waad i murwad jebisaan. 50 Anigu ammaantayda ma doono, waxaase jira mid doona oo xukuma. 51 Runtii, runtii, waxaan idinku leeyahay, Haddii qof uun ereygayga xajiyo, weligiis dhimasho ma arki doono. 52 Yuhuuddu waxay ku yidhaahdeen isaga, Imminka waxaannu garanaynaa inaad jinni qabto. Ibraahim waa dhintay iyo nebiyadiiba, adiguna waxaad leedahay, Haddii qof uun hadalkayga xajiyo, weligiis dhimasho ma dhadhamin doono. 53 Miyaad ka sii weyn tahay aabbaheen Ibraahim oo dhintay, iyo nebiyadii dhintay? Yaad iska dhigaysaa? 54 Ciise wuxuu ugu jawaabay, Haddaan is-ammaano, ammaantaydu waxba ma aha. Waa Aabbahay kan i ammaanaa, kaad ku sheegtaan Ilaahiinna. 55 Mana aydnaan garan isaga, laakiinse anigu waa garanayaa, oo haddaan idhaahdo, Garan maayo isaga, sidiinna oo kalaan beenaaleh noqonayaa, laakiinse waan aqaan isaga, ereygiisana waan xajiyaa. 56 Aabbihiin Ibraahim waa ku reyreeyey inuu maalintayda arko, wuuna arkay oo ku farxay. 57 Sidaa aawadeed Yuhuuddii waxay ku yidhaahdeen, Weli konton sannadood ma aadan gaadhin, oo Ibraahim ma aragtay? 58 Ciise wuxuu ku yidhi, Runtii, runtii, waxaan idinku leeyahay, Intaan Ibraahim jirin anaa ah. 59 Markaasay dhagaxyo u gurteen inay ku tuuraan, laakiin Ciise waa dhuuntay, wuuna ka baxay macbudka.

But Jesus went into the mount of Olives.

And early again he came into the temple; and all the people came to him; and he sat, and taught them.

And scribes and Pharisees brought a woman taken in adultery, and they setted her in the middle [and set her in the middle],

and said to him, Master, this woman is now taken in adultery.

And in the law Moses commanded us to stone such; therefore what sayest thou?

And they said this thing tempting him, that they might accuse him. And Jesus bowed himself down, and wrote with his finger in the earth.

And when they abided asking him [Soothly when they lasted, or continued, asking him], he raised himself, and said to them, He of you that is without sin, first cast a stone into her.

And again he bowed [down] himself, and wrote in the earth.

And they hearing these things, went away one after another, and they began from the elder men [Soothly they hearing these things, went away one after another, they beginning at the elder men]; and Jesus dwelt alone, and the woman standing in the middle.

10 And Jesus raised himself, and said to her, Woman, where be they that accused thee? no man hath condemned thee.

11 She said, No man, Lord. Jesus said to her, Neither I shall condemn thee; go thou, and now after do not thou sin no more[a].

12 Therefore again Jesus spake to them, and said [saying], I am the light of the world; he that followeth me, walketh not in darknesses, but shall have the light of life.

13 Therefore the Pharisees said, Thou bearest witnessing of thyself; thy witnessing is not true.

14 Jesus answered, and said to them, And if I bear witnessing of myself, my witnessing is true; for I know from whence I came, and whither I go. But ye know not from whence I came, nor whither I go.

15 For ye deem after the flesh, but I deem no man; [Forsooth ye deem after the flesh, I deem not any man;]

16 and if I deem, my doom is true, for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.

17 And in your law it is written, that the witnessing of two men is true.

18 I am, that bear witnessing of myself, and the Father that sent me, beareth witnessing of me.

19 Therefore they said to him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Neither ye know me, nor ye know my Father; if ye knew me, peradventure ye should know also my Father.

20 Jesus spake these words in the treasury, teaching in the temple; and no man took him, for his hour came not yet.

21 Therefore again Jesus said to them, Lo! I go, and ye shall seek me, and ye shall die in your sin; whither I go, ye be not able to come [whither I go, ye may not come].

22 Therefore the Jews said, Whether he shall slay himself, for he saith, Whither I go, ye be not able to come [Whither I go, ye may come]?

23 And he said to them, Ye be of beneath, I am of above; ye be of this world, I am not of this world.

24 Therefore I said to you, that ye shall die in your sins; for if ye believe not that I am, ye shall die in your sins.

25 Therefore they said to him, Who art thou? Jesus said to them, The beginning, which also speak to you [Jesus said to them, The beginning, or the first of all thing, the which and I speak to you].

26 I have many things to speak, and to deem of you, but he that sent me is soothfast; and I speak in the world these things, that I heard of him.

27 And they knew not, that he called his Father God. [And they knew not, for he said his Father God.]

28 Therefore Jesus said to them, When ye have araised man's Son, then ye shall know, that I am, and of myself I do nothing; but as my Father taught me, I speak these things.

29 And he that sent me is with me, and left me not alone; for I do evermore those things, that be pleasing to him. [And he that sent me is with me, and left not me alone; for I do ever those things, that be pleasant to him.]

30 When he spake these things, many believed in him.

31 Therefore Jesus said to the Jews, that believed in him, If ye dwell in my word, verily ye shall be my disciples;

32 and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

33 Therefore the Jews answered to him, We be the seed of Abraham, and we served never to [no] man; how sayest thou, That ye shall be free [how sayest thou, Ye shall be free]?

34 Jesus answered to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, each man that doeth sin, is [the] servant of sin.

35 And the servant dwelleth not in the house without end [into without end], but the Son dwelleth without end [into without end].

36 Therefore if the Son [shall] make you free, verily ye shall be free.

37 I know that ye be Abraham's sons, but ye seek to slay me, for my word taketh not in you.

38 I speak those things, that I saw at my Father; and ye do those things, that ye saw at your father.

39 They answered, and said to him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith to them, If ye be the sons of Abraham, do ye the works of Abraham.

40 But now ye seek to slay me, a man that have spoken to you [the] truth, that I heard of God; Abraham did not this thing.

41 Ye do the works of your father. Therefore they said to him [And so they said to him], We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, God.

42 But Jesus saith to them, If God were your Father, soothly ye should love me; for I passed forth of God, and came [forsooth I proceeded, or went forth, of God, and came]; for neither I came of myself, but he sent me.

43 Why know ye not my speech? for ye be not able to hear my word.

44 Ye be of the father, the devil, and ye will do the desires of your father. He was a manslayer from the beginning, and he stood not in truth; for truth is not in him. When he speaketh lying [When he speaketh a lying], he speaketh of his own; for he is a liar, and father of it.

45 But for I say truth, ye believe not to me.

46 Who of you shall reprove me of sin? if I say truth, why believe ye not to me?

47 He that is of God, heareth the words of God; therefore ye hear not, for ye be not of God.

48 Therefore the Jews answered, and said [to him], Whether we say not well, that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil?

49 Jesus answered, and said, I have not a devil, but I honour my Father, and ye have unhonoured me.

50 For I seek not my glory; there is he, that seeketh, and deemeth.

51 Truly, truly, I say to you, if any man keep my word, he shall not taste death without end. [Truly, truly, I say to you, if any man shall keep my word, he shall not see, or taste, death into without end.]

52 Therefore the Jews said, Now we have known, that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets, and thou sayest, If any man keep my word, he shall not taste death without end [he shall not taste death into without end].

53 Whether thou art greater than our father Abraham, that is dead, and the prophets be dead; whom makest thou thyself?

54 Jesus answered, If I glorify myself, my glory is nought; my Father is, that glorifieth me, whom ye say, that he is your God.

55 And ye have not known him, but I have known him; and if I [shall] say that I know him not, I shall be a liar like to you; but I know him, and I keep his word.

56 Abraham, your father, gladded to see my day [Abraham, your father, gladded, or full out joyed, that he should see my day]; and he saw, and joyed.

57 Then the Jews said to him, Thou hast not yet fifty years, and hast thou seen Abraham?

58 Therefore Jesus said to them, Truly, truly I say to you, before that Abraham should be, I am. [Therefore Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, before that Abraham was made, I am.]

59 Therefore they took stones, to cast to him; but Jesus hid him(self), and went out of the temple.
